At Whale-Phin Guest House is situated 14km out of town away from all the hustle and bustle, in the safe and tranquil suburb of Reebok.  We are on a dune overlooking the bay of Mossel Bay. Enjoy the unspoilt views over the Indian Ocean and “Fynbos” nature reserve adjacent to Whale-Phin. From your room, balcony or sundeck spot whales in season, dolphins frolicking the waves and plenty of garden birds all year round. Whale-Phin is a five minutes walk away from our clean and safe beach.

At Whale-Phin Guest House is built on three levels, the owners occupy the top level. The centre level is used for bed and breakfast and consists of three en-suite bedrooms, dining room and balcony with a beautiful ocean view. The bottom two rooms, with garden entrances, are self-catering units but are also used for bed and breakfast, both have ocean views and direct access to the sundeck. For more information go to the rooms page.

At Whale-Phin Guest House offers you wireless internet, e-mail, fax and credit card facilities. We are close to two good restaurants namely Vaaljapie Station Restaurant with its traditional Afrikaner cuisine, and Stonehill Restaurant perfect for fine dining. A free shuttle service is available to some of the restaurants in town. For more information see our Restaurant Page.

At Whale-Phin Guest House is situated 14km from Mossel Bay town centre, 25km from George airport, 95km from Knysna and 82km from Oudtshoorn. This makes Whale-Phin the ideal base from where to discover the Garden Route.

Mossel Bay, the Western Cape’s Town of the Year 2007/8, offers you a huge variety of activities. 10km from Whale-Phin you can enjoy a game safari and meet 4 of the big 5 on a private game reserve. Meet the great white sharks in their own environment while shark cage diving. In whale season, July to November, take the whaleboat and go up to 50m from the friendly ocean giants (for more info go to the Whales page), or just cruise around Seal Island with it’s 2000 plus seals.
Mossel Bay is also known for the water sports and its clean and safe beaches. Horse riding, hiking, bungy jumping, 4x4 and quad bike experiences are some of the activities that can be enjoyed. Take a trip on the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, South Africa's last remaining scheduled Steam Train.
