Mossel Bay, the Western Cape’s Town of the Year 2007/8, offers you a huge variety of activities. 10km from Whale-Phin you can enjoy a game safari and meet 4 of the big 5 on a private game reserve. Meet the great white sharks in their own environment while shark cage diving. In whale season, July to November, take the whaleboat and go up to 50m from the friendly ocean giants (for more info go to the Whales page), or just cruise around Seal Island with it’s 2000 plus seals. Mossel Bay is also known for the water sports and its clean and safe beaches. Horse riding, hiking, bungi jumping, 4x4 and quad bike experiences are some of the activities that can be enjoyed.
