The Transkaroo Restaurant, housed in the old Great Brak River Railway Station, dated since 1906. It is here that you will find this exquisite restaurant, with a relaxing and peaceful ambience overlooking the lagoon and the waves of the ocean.
Inspired by old fashioned cooking, Stefan Jamneck (owner and chef) adds a modern influence to the menu. It is his believe, “if it is not fresh, it is not served” that makes Transkaroo a popular place to wine and dine. Some call it comfort food, but we call it casual cuisine, every item on the menu carefully and passionately made. No doubt you will also find a bottle of wine to suite your meal. The best oven roasted lamb neck you'll ever have and the sweetened sweet potatoes are to die for!
